XAVIER DE SOULTRAIT AUOTOGRAFA LA PRIMA TAPPA DEL TRANSANATOLIA RALLY

Day 2. Antiochia – Aslantas Baraji.

Gli 80 equipaggi del TransAnatolia rally si sono confrontati oggi con una lunga maratona di 371 chilometri e 2 settori cronometrati di 122 e 105 chilometri. A dettare l’ordine di partenza e’ stato il prologo di 3 chilometri del giorno precedente che ha dato ragione a Xavier De Soultrait davanti a Elio Aglioni e Michele Cotti.   I centauri hanno inforcato le rispettive motociclette alle 8.00 in punto con Xavier De Soultrait in sella a KTM 690 R, già vincitore dell’edizione 2020, ad aprire la competizione. La prima prova speciale di 122 chilometri è stata proprietà di Xavier De Soultrait, seguito da Michele Cotti e Ejder Erişti mentre il resto della top ten si formava da Andrea Pighetti, Massimo Ferrari, Riccardo Vitali, Luca Zussino, Elio Aglioni, Gilberto Facco e Oğuz Küçükbarak.

Il secondo settore selettivo di 195 chilometri, raggiunto dopo un trasferimento di 59 chilometri, ha visto ancora Xavier De Soultrait come top rider più veloce nella lettura del road book e nel passo gara, davanti a Michele Cotti e Andrea Pighetti.

A fine giornata la testa della classifica si formava con Xavier De Soultrait davanti a Michele Cotti e Andrea Pighetti.

Peccato per il dakariano Francesco Catanese che ha dovuto gettare la spugna per un malessere fisico che gli ha impedito lo start già dalla 1a prova cronometrata.

Federico Buttò e Martino Albertini hanno siglato la 1^ posizione nella SS1 e la 2^ posizione in SS2vper la classe SSV portandosi in testa alla generale, mentre Marino Mutti e Andrea Mazzoleni hanno chiuso con facilità la giornata di gara.

Tutta la carovana del TransAnatolia rally si riposa ora presso il bivacco di Aslantas Baraji in attesa della 3a giornata di rally dove il T.S.O. (TransAnatolia Sport Organisation) ha preparato 3 prove speciali di 152, 105 e 58 chilometri.

XAVIER DE SOULTRAIT WIN THE FIRST STAGE OF THE TRANSANATOLIA RALLY

Day 2. Antakya – Aslantas Baraji.

The 80 crews of the TransAnatolia rally faced today a long marathon of 371 kilometers and 2 special tests of 122 and 105 kilometers. The starting order was dictated by the 3 kilometer prologue of the previous day which placed Xavier De Soultrait right in front of Elio Aglioni and Michele Cotti. The bikers got on their respective motorcycles at 8.00 o’clock with Xavier De Soultrait riding KTM 690 R, already winner of the 2020 edition, to open the competition. The first special test of 122 kilometers was owned by Xavier De Soultrait, followed by Michele Cotti and Ejder Erişti while the rest of the top ten was formed by Andrea Pighetti, Massimo Ferrari, Riccardo Vitali, Luca Zussino, Elio Aglioni, Gilberto Facco and Oğuz Küçükbarak.

The second special test of 195 kilometers, reached after a transfer of 59 kilometers, saw Xavier De Soultrait again as the fastest top rider in reading the road book and in the race pace, ahead of Michele Cotti and Andrea Pighetti.

At the end of the day the leader was Xavier De Soultrait in front of Michele Cotti and Andrea Pighetti.

A bad day for Francesco Catanese who had to leave the competition due to a physical discomfort that prevented him from starting from the 1st timed test.

Federico Buttò and Martino Albertini signed 1st position in 1st special stage and 2nd position in the 2nd one for the SSV class, taking the lead in the general, while Marino Mutti and Andrea Mazzoleni easily closed the day of competition.

The whole TransAnatolia rally caravan now rests at the Aslantas Baraji bivouac waiting for the 3rd day of the rally where the T.S.O. (TransAnatolia Sport Organization) has prepared 3 special stages of 152, 105 and 58 kilometers.
