XAVIER DE SOULTRAIT ALLUNGA LA DISTANZA DAGLI ALTRI COMPETITORS.

Day4. Kayseri- Kayseri

Tappa ad anello Kayseri-Kayseri di 506 chilometri quella messa in scaletta per la giornata odierna da T.S.O. (TransAnatolia Sport Organisation), comprensiva di 3 prove speciali. Sveglia prima dell’alba per tutti i piloti che già dalle 5.30 del mattino stavano definendo gli ultimi ritocchi sui rispettivi mezzi e road book; Xavier De Soultrait ha dato inizio alle danze alle 6.20 del mattino subito seguito dall’italiano Michele Cotti, dal turco Ejder Eristi e dal resto della carovana TransAnatolia Rally. Dopo i primi 60 chilometri di trasferimento i piloti hanno affrontato la P.S.1 di 53 chilometri, la più breve di giornata, con Xavier De Soultrait a dominare davanti a Ejder Erişti e a Michele Cotti.

Subito dopo il 1° settore selettivo gli 80 equipaggi hanno fatto un successivo trasferimento di 53 chilometri per confrontarsi con un inedito settore cronometrato di 105 chilometri. Qui la top ten di piloti era composta da Xavier De Soultrait, Ejder Erişti, Michele Cotti, Massimiliano Guerrini, Riccardo Vitali, Massimo Ferrari, Nicola di Piero, Luca Zussino, Murat Yazici, Elio Aglioni.

Per concludere l’anello i piloti hanno fatto un nuovo breve trasferimento di 35 chilometri per poi involarsi nella speciale più ostica di giornata di 155 chilometri. Il big player Xavier De Soultrait, in sella alla sua fedele KTM 690 ha centrato il risultato anche in questa ultima prova divenendo leader di giornata e allungando la distanza dai suoi diretti avversari. Il 2° miglior mattatore di tappa è stato Michele Cotti mentre il 3° gradino del podio è andato a Ejder Erişti.

La classifica Assoluta di gara vede in testa il dakariano Xavier De Soultrait con un margine di vantaggio di 1h 21 minuti su Michele Cotti e 1h 35 minuti su Ejder Erişti.

Una nota di merito va sicuramente a Federico Buttò e a Martino Albertini, che dopo aver lavorato tutta notte insieme alla solidale equipe italiana, nel sistemare il Can-Am messo fuori gioco ieri da un grosso masso, oggi si sono rifatti con una prima posizione assoluta. Il pilota Azzurro Nicola di Piero continua a guidare la classe bicilindrica in sella a Yamaha Tenere 700.

XAVIER DE SOULTRAIT EXTENDS THE GAP FROM OTHER COMPETITORS.

Day 4. Kayseri- Kayseri

A loop stage (Kayseri-Kayseri) of 506 kilometers that put in the lineup for the day by T.S.O. (TransAnatolia Sports Organization), including 3 special tests. Wake up before dawn for all the bikers who, just at 5.30 a.m., are ready to place the final settings on their respective bikes and road book; Xavier De Soultrait open the competition at 6.20 in the morning, immediately followed by the Italian Michele Cotti, the Turkish Ejder Erişti and the rest of the TransAnatolia Rally caravan. After the first 60 kilometers of transfer, the bikers faced the 53 kilometer of special test 1, the shortest of the day, with Xavier De Soultrait dominating ahead of Ejder Erişti and Michele Cotti.

Immediately after the 1st special test, the 80 crews made a transfer of 53 kilometers to face an inedit timed sector of 105 kilometers. Here the top ten of drivers was made up of Xavier De Soultrait, Ejder Erişti, Michele Cotti, Massimiliano Guerrini, Riccardo Vitali, Massimo Ferrari, Nicola di Piero, Luca Zussino, Murat Yazici, Elio Aglioni.

To close the ring, the riders made a new short transfer of 35 kilometers and then took off in the most difficult special of the day of 155 kilometers. The great player Xavier De Soultrait, riding his faithful KTM 690, scored the best time also in this last test, becoming the leader of the day and extending the distance from his direct rivals. The 2nd best performer of the stage was Michele Cotti while the 3rd step of the podium went to Ejder Erişti.

The overall classification of the race, the dakarian Xavier De Soultrait leads with 1h 21 minutes on Michele Cotti and 1h 35 minutes on Ejder Erişti.

A note of merit certainly goes to Federico Buttò and Martino Albertini who, after working all night together with the support Italian team, fixing the Can-Am which was sidelined yesterday by a large crowd, today made up for an absolute first position. Nicola di Piero still leads the twin-cylinder class, riding his Yamaha Tenere 700.
